Madrid, October 8, 2024.- The Council of Ministers has approved the granting of a grant in the amount of 500,000 € to the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the payment of the aid agreed with the Autonomous Community after the earthquake in Lorca in 2011, within the framework of the aid files to meet the fifty by the way of the expenses derived from the repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction of homes.
The subsidy to the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for the payment of the outstanding aid derived from the earthquake, in accordance with the amounts reflected in the concession and payment orders issued by the competent body of the Community. Within the framework of the processing of the aid files, the Region of Murcia proceeded to the review and modification of some of the aid recognized during the 2018 financial year. Subsequently, the Autonomous Community issued new resolutions as of December 31, 2018, that is, once the deadline for the resolution of the application files for aid established in the last addendum to the agreement signed on May 17, 2011 has passed. Thus, with this subsidy, the payment of the remaining aid is taken care of.
