During the Special Summer Operation of the DGT, which took place between July 1 and September 3, 129 casualties have been recorded, 12% more than last year, although the number of serious injuries fell by 54%, twelve compared to the twenty-six of Operation Summer 2022.

Among the deceased, 67% were drivers, two on motorcycles, one light quad and one passenger, and the rest, a passenger and a pedestrian,” says Virginia Jerez, Provincial Traffic Chief, who highlights that 50% of the deceased were vulnerable users.
