The Multipurpose Center for Services for Elderly People of Melilla del Imserso, popularly known as the Residence for Elderly People, has carried out, as is already tradition on the occasion of these dates, the delivery of a Christmas basket between residents and users.
This activity is in addition to the extensive program that the center is carrying out within the Christmas program and has counted on the presence of the Delegate of the Government in Melilla, Sabrina Moh, and the Territorial Director of the Imserso, Verónica Aznar, who wanted to accompany the elderly in this special day, together with the director of the center, Ibrahim Molina, as well as the rest of the management team and workers, sharing moments of closeness and celebration with the residents.
The head of the Government Delegation conveyed her best wishes to the residents and users of the center, whom she congratulated on Christmas and wished them that “2026 will be full of health so that we can continue celebrating many things”.
Let the elderly feel the Christmas
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has had words of thanks for the team and the workers of the center. “Thanks to all the baggage for the work that is done 365 days a year, but when there are marked parties and especially Christmas parties, the workload increases so that the residents can do all the activities, and I want to thank them for doing it with so much love and affection,” he said.
The Delegate, together with Aznar and Molina, also conveyed her gratitude to the residents’ relatives for the support and involvement, “without them we would lack a very important leg for our seniors to feel Christmas both outside and inside the center.”
The delivery of the Christmas baskets is part of the program of activities organized on the occasion of these dates, whose objective is to promote coexistence, well-being and the Christmas spirit among the elderly, reinforcing the commitment of the Imserso with the attention and care of the elderly in the city.
