The Coordination Unit against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in Melilla has published yesterday the bases of the III Children and Youth Competition for Equality and Against Gender Violence aimed at students of all educational stages and all educational centers in Melilla.
As the Head of the Unit, Laura Segura, has pointed out, the objective is that, as has happened in previous editions, all educational centers and as many students as possible participate.
“We want to bring equality and the prevention of gender violence closer to students and increase awareness and awareness of the importance of supporting victims and breaking the silence in the face of any evidence or suspicion of gender violence,” said Segura.
To this end, he has stressed the importance of doing so in the language of young people. Hence, there is a comic, drawing and letter or email modality for Primary and Special Education and a comic, drawing, letter, email or WhatsApp conversation category for Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, Adult Education Center and Special Regime Teachings.
Laura Segura has sent to all the educational centers of the city the bases of the Contest and has called for participation in it. “Coeducation, from very early ages, is key to eradicating violence against women and to having effective and real equality,” she said.
“Educational centers are basic places from which inequality can be reversed,” he added, indicating that with this initiative, “we want to contribute with this activity to the promotion of equality and to the prevention and fight against gender violence.”
