The Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) has published the second call for grants for the development of vocational training programs for employment in the city of Melilla, aimed at improving the qualification of unemployed and occupied workers, as well as strengthening labor insertion in strategic sectors.
The Provincial Director of SEPE, Jorge Vera, stressed that this initiative “reinforces the commitment of the Government of Spain to training as an engine of employment and development”. In his words, “training is the best tool to improve employability, offer real opportunities and continue reducing unemployment in our city”.
Vera has stressed that “these training actions represent an opportunity for Melilla to continue making progress in the creation of stable and quality employment, betting on the training of working people and the modernization of the local productive fabric”.
The call, with state funding, aims to promote the acquisition of professional skills adapted to the current demands of the labor market, through training actions with commitment to hiring, certificates of professionalism and specific programs of insertion.
The actions foreseen in this call will be financed with one million four hundred and sixty thousand five hundred and sixty six euros with forty-two cents (1,460,566.42€).
Beneficiaries
Public or private Training Entities may be beneficiaries of the grants. The training specialties that are the object of the training will be in the face-to-face mode, and the Training Entities must have a presence in the territorial area of the City of Melilla, and must have in this area the duly registered facilities that allow the teaching of the training specialties requested.
Deadlines and submission of applications
The deadline for the submission of applications will be fifteen working days from today, after the announcement has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on Saturday, October 4.
There will be as many applications as training actions presented by the training entity to be subsidized. No more than 2 applications for the same specialty may be submitted by each Training Entity.
Applications will be submitted electronically, addressed to the Provincial Directorate of the State Public Employment Service in Melilla, through the electronic registry of the General Administration of the State, in accordance with the requirements established in the resolution.
