The Government Delegation hosted this lunchtime a meeting between its holder, Sabrina Moh, and the Head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, Laura Segura, to finalize the security device and the implementation of the violet spot for the patron saint’s parties in Melilla, which start this Saturday.
Last week, after the Local Security Board, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city already advanced that more than 1,000 troops of the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Local Police will guarantee security during this year’s edition of Feria, with a deployment of 411 police officers, 260 of the Benemérita and 384 agents of the Local Police.
Moh explained that this edition of the fair will once again feature the violet dot, a tool “that will provide coverage and will work in the Melillense citizens in terms of prevention, awareness and action against male violence”.
“We implement it every year so that we can enjoy, all of us, safe patron saint’s parties and free of male violence,” said the Delegate.
