The Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the head of the Civil Protection and Emergency Unit of the Government Delegation, Mohamed Mohamed, visited yesterday evening the Melilla Maritime Station to see at first hand the development of the process of embarkation and disembarkation within the framework of Operation Strait Pass (OPE).
During the visit, the Delegate was able to observe the work of State Security Forces and Bodies in the tasks of inspection and identification of persons, vehicles and goods. Moh has highlighted the existing coordination between the different actors involved, with the focus on giving the best possible response to passenger traffic.
In this regard, he has highlighted the work of documentary inspection of the National Police to verify the identity and validity of documents, as well as the work of control, surveillance and control of the Civil Guard, and of customs personnel in the physical inspection of vehicles.
