“If at some point, with any of the people I related to, I had shown any indication or suspicion of something, I would not have waited for any report from the UCO, or for any report of anything. I myself would have denounced that some actions were taking place, at least immoral.”
The Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh, in statements to the media, has addressed the recordings that were made public yesterday by TVE in which Koldo García spoke with different people, among others, herself.
The head of the Government Delegation recalled that his relationship with Koldo García, with Santos Cerdán and with José Luis Ábalos, falls within the institutional scope, as advisers and heads of the Ministry or the PSOE. “As with them, with many other people,” he said, contextualizing that the conversations that now come to light took place “a lot before anyone knew anything about what they are now knowing” and that they also took place “in good faith, within that today everyone has information that at the time there was not.”
In any case, Moh has stressed that “I have not come to politics to bite myself or to belong to any corruption plot. I have come to politics because I care about Melilla and I really care about it.”
Sabrina Moh who recalled that she is a career civil servant since 2007 has stressed that her leap into politics was due to the fact that “I believe in a fair society, I believe in an egalitarian society, I believe in equal opportunities, I believe in public services. And it hurts when I go to the different neighborhoods and they tell me that they don’t have the most basic thing like cleaning.”
He has assured that all his actions have been done “from good faith, honesty and honesty” and that, if at some point he had detected something irregular, he would have denounced it personally. Not only that, he added that, “if that call occurred today, I guarantee that my answer would be another”.
As for the content of the audios, Moh has denied that there is a relationship between the two phrases that were published yesterday and that, in fact, respond to different dates so they are taken out of context.
Regarding the phrase “just to confirm it and if we can get something out of the Delegation”, he explained that as representative of the Government of Spain in the city, it is in charge of announcing all the actions of the Central Executive in Melilla.
“If there is something that needs to be announced to the Melillense citizens, something that we have also worked closely with the corresponding Ministry, I don’t care what it is, the logical thing is that the Government Delegation goes out to announce all the actions,” he argued.
Thus, it has set an example of the 100 million euros that during the years 2024 and 2025 have arrived in Melilla in active employment policies and in benefits and subsidies. Or the fact that the Government of Spain has inaugurated the University Hospital of Melilla that is going to put public health at the forefront of our city.
“What he alludes to is a phrase that I can talk to the Ministry of Transport, to the Ministry of Health, to the Ministry of Education, to the Ministry of Education, to the SEPE, because all the thickest competences belong to the Government of Spain,” he said.
And therefore, “I think it is wonderful that the Government Delegation can announce measures such as the reduction of the ratio, 3,000 students in Vocational Training, that the money has been increased in scholarships so that everyone has equal opportunities, school canteens, the 10 million euros in the border perimeter…”, he said.
“Do you think that if there was something criminal, that these audios are already held by the UCO, nothing else would have happened?” he asked. “The thing is that it is very good to sow doubt for people who are interested in making noise, but what I will certainly defend is always my honesty and my honesty,” he concluded.
