The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) has convened 120 places for professional stays in educational institutions in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland for the 2025/2026 academic year.
As explained by the Provincial Director of Education, Elena Fernández Treviño, the professional stays are study and observation visits in which a European center welcomes the Spanish teacher for a period of two weeks. These stays will take place between January 1, 2026 and August 31, 2026.
“Teacher mobility allows teachers to strengthen their communication skills in other languages in order, through direct contact with educational institutions in other countries, to establish the starting point that favors the creation and expansion of the international networks of the educational centers themselves and promotes transnational cooperation and partnership between them,” he said.
Fernández Treviño has assured that this call is an “opportunity to contribute to the permanent training of teachers at all levels and to the expansion of perspectives of all members of the educational community.”
