“I don’t care who the idea of the phased opening of the University Hospital is, but they already grant the first occupation license.”
The Government Delegate, Sabrina Moh, to questions from media professionals, has referred to the fact that Councilor Miguel Marín has arrogated to himself the authorship to open the Hospital in phases.
In the words of the head of the Government Delegation, what is relevant in this issue is “to be able to put in place an infrastructure as necessary for the city as is the University Hospital of Melilla”.
With regard to the ‘incidents’ to which the PP Executive alludes in order not to grant the first occupation license, Moh has made it clear that “we are not going to ask for a first occupation license that poses a risk to anyone, neither for patients, nor of course for professionals.”
Thus, referring to the issue of plugs in some of the hospital bathrooms that Marín has pointed out as very serious, he replied that “it is not true”. “That was solved in five minutes, it’s finished, but you’ll also have to tell him that before a person is electrocuted, the plugs jump,” he said.
The Delegate recalled that several days ago, accompanied by technicians, she was able to make the tour of the Hospital and could see that practically all the deficiencies were solved “and that they did not affect the plants”.
“We know that the hospital is not going to open completely from the beginning, that the first occupation license has a provisional status and, therefore, we also gained time until we could solve all these issues,” he said.
