The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has denounced the “irresponsibility and lack of empathy with the Melillense citizenship” of the First Vice-President of the City and Councilor for Development, Miguel Marín, for not expediting the processing of the first occupation license of the University Hospital of Melilla.
“I am very concerned because we have to look after the general interest and not the partisan interest and we have a finished infrastructure to cover the citizens of Melilla,” he said, referring to an infrastructure of 120 million euros that is already finished and that “we cannot open because they continue to request documentation in a progressive way to slow down this authorization of the occupation license.”
Moh, to questions from the media, has referred to this issue, after health professionals have warned of the increase in cases of influenza, respiratory infections and other pathologies. “We have the solution because we have a new hospital that has many more beds available than the Regional Hospital and, therefore, I believe that we would have to be responsible and expedite the authorization of this first occupation license to be able to respond to the demand of the Melillenses,” he said.
At this point, Moh recalled a meeting that they had with the local government and in which the Government Delegation was requested to make progress in the documentation so that the authorization would be immediate. “The response of the Government Delegation was ‘of course’ because we are not going to have an infrastructure finished just because we do not authorize it,” he recalled.
However, he denounced that the Executive of the PP is asking for “today a role, tomorrow another role…”, and stressed that the local Vice President “should have it as an absolute priority in his agenda and that this first occupation license could be given as soon as possible.”
