The Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) opens the deadline, from tomorrow, to register in the experiential programs of employment and training.
As explained by the Provincial Director of SEPE, Jorge Vera, the experiential employment and training programs are temporary projects aimed at improving the employability of unemployed people who participate in them through their qualification in alternation with professional practice, and in the preparation, accompaniment and evaluation of which the Promotion and Development Units collaborate.
Thus, the purpose of these grants is to improve the employability of unemployed persons participating in experiential employment and training programmes, through their qualification in alternation with professional practice, through projects of a temporary nature for the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of which the Promotion and Development Units will collaborate, and the barriers faced by women will be taken into account.
Among the aforementioned projects of experiential programs may be developed, in addition to the projects of a general nature, specific projects for unemployed people under 30, as well as specific projects for entrepreneurial people whose objective is the development of a business project that favors the self-employment of the participants or the constitution of a cooperative, labor society or insertion company.
The grants provided for in this call will be financed from the corresponding funds provided in the SEPE Expenditure Budget, up to a maximum of 1,180,000 euros for the financial year 2024.
This amount may be increased by means of an additional amount, the determination and effectiveness of which will be conditioned on the declaration of availability of the credit before the call is resolved.
Scholarships for students and participating students
As explained by Vera, during the initial formative phase of the specific projects aimed at unemployed people under 30, the participating students will be entitled to receive a scholarship of 9 euros per day of assistance - 10 euros for women victims of gender violence.
Scholarships may be applied for by students of specific experiential projects aimed at unemployed persons under 30 years of age, during the initial formative stage.
As far as the duration is concerned, in general, the duration of experiential employment and training projects, including specific projects aimed at entrepreneurs, will not exceed 6 months, divided into phases of 3 months for programming and evaluation purposes.
In specific projects for unemployed persons under 30, the duration of the projects will not exceed 12 months, divided into phases of 3 or 6 months for programming and evaluation purposes. The initial phase of the projects, without alternation with employment, which will last for 3 months, will be exclusively formative, as determined by the public employment service.
The projects of the Promotion and Development Units will have a minimum duration of 9 months and a maximum of 18 months, divided into phases of 3 or 6 months, as determined in the grant award resolution. In general, this duration will be equal to or greater than that of the projects of longer duration experiential programs that are within their respective fields of action, so that upon their completion they can provide the participating workers technical assistance and accompaniment for the search of employment, both for employed persons and for self-establishment, individually or in social economy projects, as well as proceed, where appropriate, to the identification of new projects for future calls.
