Honorable mentions
In this edition, as has been the norm in previous years, the work of entities will also be recognized through a specific mention, specifically the Rusadir Secondary Education Institute (IES) and the UNHCR team in Melilla.
The recognition of the educational center is due to the work of the center for the promotion of equality and the prevention of gender violence among its students, “always from the transversal, focusing its work through art, and involving the educational community and other agents,” he said.
This mention recognizes their commitment to take awareness and awareness activities beyond the classrooms and the center, participating actively in events and events organized in our city.
The second mention, given to the UNHCR team in Melilla, aims to reward commitment and work to protect women for whom it works from gender-based violence, implementing programs and protocols to prevent and respond to cases, mitigate related risks and safeguard women’s rights and well-being.
The Head of Unit explained that this UN Agency not only offers a response to violence once it has occurred, but also acts to prevent it by addressing its root causes and integrating gender equality in all aspects of its work.
