The Provincial Director of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) in Melilla, Jorge Vera, has reported on the call for public subsidies, aimed at financing projects of experiential employment and training programs, as well as the Promotion and Development Units that collaborate in their preparation, accompaniment and evaluation, corresponding to the 2024 year in the territory of the City of Melilla.
As he explained, the experiential employment and training programs are temporary projects aimed at improving the employability of unemployed people who participate in them through their qualification in alternation with professional practice, and in the preparation, accompaniment and evaluation of which the Promotion and Development Units collaborate.
The purpose of these grants is to improve the employability of unemployed persons participating in experiential employment and training programmes, through their qualification in alternation with professional practice, through projects of a temporary nature for the preparation, monitoring and evaluation of which the Promotion and Development Units will collaborate, and the barriers faced by women will be taken into account.
Financing
The grants provided for in this call will be financed from the corresponding funds provided in the Expenditure Budget of the State Public Employment Service, from budget line 19.101.241B.485.03 up to a maximum of one million one hundred and eighty thousand euros (1.180.000€) for the financial year 2024.
This amount may be increased by means of an additional amount, the determination and effectiveness of which will be conditioned on the declaration of availability of the credit before the call is resolved.
Beneficiaries
Public entities, including local entities and corporations, or private non-profit entities that carry out the activity that underlies its granting or are in the situation that motivates its granting may be eligible for grants.
The projects that are subsidized under this call should preferably respond to the recovery or promotion of artistic, historical, cultural or natural heritage, the rehabilitation of urban or natural environments, energy efficiency and renewable energies, and in any case, to the needs of the market, as well as any other activity of public utility or of general and social interest, which allows to make formal learning and professional practice compatible in the workplace.
Application submission deadline
The deadline for submitting applications will be one month from the day following the publication of the extract of this resolution in the Official State Gazette.
Final recipients
The Provincial Director of the SEPE in Melilla has pointed out that the final recipients of the program will be unemployed persons, understood as such, persons seeking employment and services in the employment situation of non-employed registered in the public employment services. Young people who are registered with the National Youth Guarantee System may also do so.
Scholarships for participating students
During the initial formative stage of the specific projects aimed at unemployed persons under 30 years of age, the participating students will be entitled to receive a scholarship of 9 euros per day of assistance (10 euros for women victims of gender violence).
