The Imserso will fill the vacancy of doctor in the Base Center in the next Public Employment Offer, which is already published, as announced by the Territorial Director of the Imserso in Melilla, Verónica Aznar.
In an interview given to the COPE network, Aznar has also announced that it has already closed with the Central Services of the Imserso that until then, this place will be covered through an interinity. “The Central Services have confirmed to me that, this place will come out as an interinity, while the doctor’s place is covered,” he said.
“It is great news because it assures us that in the next interinity comes that of doctor and that gives us a lot of tranquility,” said the head of the Imserso in our city.
In connection with this issue, Aznar has addressed the delay that has occurred in the assessment and qualification of the degree of disability. “The situation occurred, at the same time that the new scale of disability changed and there were two important retirements in the recognition of disability, such as that of a doctor and that of the administrative one,” he explained.
In reference to the change of scale, the Territorial Director explained that, as a result of Royal Decree 888/2022, due to its technical complexity, it has forced to reduce the citations for its recognition, to which was added the lack of personnel derived from the two mentioned retirements, “keys in the valuation”.
To this fact, it should also be added that there has been a 76% increase in the number of requests for baremation with respect to 2020. All this has meant that the average resolution of an application has gone from 129 days in the year 2022 to the current one of 351 days, which has led to the delay of about 400 files.
Contract for technical resolution
Therefore, Aznar has announced that in order to download the current situation, they have been working on the drafting of a minor contract for the technical medical resolution of these 400 files for a duration of 4 months.
“This wording has already been worked by everyone and taken last week to Madrid to transfer the measure and get its corresponding approval,” he said. “We can announce that this approval has already been given and we are now working absolutely as a priority to outline the minor contract so that it can be effective and help us greatly,” he said.
Aznar, however, has highlighted that, in those files where the assessment is made by the specialized staff of Psychology and Social Work, there has not been any delay and the processing time is within the provisions of the Royal Decree, as well as the ex officio reviews, the treatment of early care and the exclusive evaluations of mobility.
In addition, as for technical personnel, the profile of Occupational Therapist has been included in the assessment team in order to assess files that according to the Royal Decree can be carried out through the range of limitations of the activity, so that, with this profile, the exclusive assessments of mobility are being processed.
