The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has valued the work that women and men of the State Security Forces (FyCSE) are developing to provide security to citizens during this Fair.
“403 members of the National Police together with those of the Local Police serve in the fairgrounds and 297 members of the Civil Guard serve throughout the area of Puerto Noray, so that the Melillenses citizens can enjoy these festivities with all the guarantees of security,” he explained in an interview last night at the Melilla Television Booth of the Real de la Feria.
The head of the Government Delegation explained that the important device is the result of the previous and coordinated work that was carried out in the Local Security Board to address, with a comprehensive vision, the entire celebration of the patron saint’s festivities, which goes beyond the fair itself.
“The main objective is not only that the Fair can be developed with all the guarantees throughout the celebration, but also a previous work of prevention, a previous work of all the security that this entails so that we can minimize as much as possible any type of incident,” he said.
At this point, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has thanked the work and professionalism of both the Civil Guard, the National Police and also the Local Police during all these days “so that the Melillenses can enjoy this party with all the security”.
In addition, as Moh explained, the work of FyCSE goes much further since “we have to attend to all the demands that already exist in themselves, we cannot neglect the tasks of perimeter surveillance, of the border, of citizen security… because in the end we continue in the day-to-day”.
With regard to the device of the Port Noray, Moh explained that, when the Casetas de Copas del Real de la Feria are closed, there are many Melillenses who travel to the port area to continue enjoying the party. Therefore, this is where the Civil Guard provides service, with an important endowment, “with all kinds of controls to also ensure that the Melillense citizens can have fun in this place”.
Finally, the Delegate has reported that there have been no significant incidents and has encouraged citizens to continue enjoying the patron saint’s holidays for the rest of the week, as so far, with respect, equality and coexistence.
