The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the Territorial Director of Ingesa, Omar Haouari, visited the new facilities of Infanto Juvenile Health and the Unit of Early Intervention in Neurodevelopment, located in the Health Center of the Central Zone.
The head of the Government Delegation and the head of the Ingesa in our city traveled a few days ago to get to know first-hand the works that are being carried out for the expansion of the activity of the Infanto Juvenil Mental Health Unit, which was created almost two years ago.
In fact, work is being done to expand the space allocated to this Unit in the medium term, when units are released in the building of the Health Center of the Central Zone, where the Mental Health Unit is located, on the occasion of the transfer of the Transfusion Center to the University Hospital.
Meanwhile, an area is being set up for early intervention in Melilla as it is currently in high demand. To do this, a neuro stimulation room - a gym - is being set up for children, especially in the transdiagnostic phase, before the diagnosis, period in which they need an intervention and are given the stimulation therapy they need, regardless of the diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is made, the child is taken to the socio-sanitary center that is of early care.
It is planned that it is an integral unit, so it will involve the hiring of other professional categories such as clinical psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker…. Because it will be an integral unit.
