Today begins the period of ordinary enrollment in the different Vocational Training cycles. The registration deadline will end on July 29th.
The Provincial Director of Education, Juan Ángel Berbel, has said that more than 2400 students have applied for a place in the first course of the authorized cycles in the city for the 2024-2025 course. In basic degree training cycles, 255 students have applied for it; in the middle degree, 924 in the face-to-face modality and 115 in the online modality; in the higher degree, 769 in the face-to-face modality and 324 in the virtual modality.
On the other hand, 45 students who completed the higher degree have requested the specialization courses authorized in the city: Cybersecurity in Information Technology Environments, maintenance and security in Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Systems, and the recently authorized Digital Content Writing for Marketing and Social Sales, all of them in the afternoon.

Berbel has recalled that the applicant students have been able to choose in basic degree training cycles, among 14 titles from 11 professional families, 3 of them duplicates. On average, 23 titles from 15 professional families, 4 of them duplicates. In higher grade, 29 titles from 15 professional families, 1 duplicate and 2 unfolded. In specialization courses, the 3 titles mentioned, corresponding to so many other professional families.
The Provincial Director pointed out that the most demanded cycles are those of the professional family of Health, Administration and Management and Informatics and Communications, as well as some professional titles of the family of Sociocultural Services and the Community. All this without counting on others traditionally settled within the city such as those of the family of Transport and Maintenance of Vehicles, Electricity and Electronics, and Physical and Sports Activities.
Regular enrollment periods
Berbel has stressed that appearing on the list of admitted does not imply a place of registration, but that the registration has to be formalized in the assigned center. If it does not take place within the allotted period, it will lapse in its right, passing its place to the successive candidates.
The regular registration period will be open until July 29th. In September, until the 4th, the award for managing the waiting list will be published. From September 5 to 10, registration improves the waiting list. Likewise, in strict order of arrival, vacancies will be admitted in those cycles where there are still vacancies available.
