The Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Ministry of Health, has authorized the distribution of 334,165 euros to Melilla for Primary Care, through the National Institute of Health Management (INGESA)
In total, the autonomous communities and cities will receive an investment of the appropriations corresponding to the financial year 2024, for a total amount of 172,425,000 euros, to give continuity to the Strategic Framework for Primary and Community Care, financing those actions aimed at strengthening Primary Care and framing some of the following themes:
- Training of health and non-health professionals related to improving the capacity for resolution in the field of Primary and Community Care.
- Implementation of the recommendations contained in the Health Strategies of the National Health System in this area of health care.
- Implementation of the “Do Not” recommendations in this assistance area.
- Promotion of specific intervention strategies aimed at people with health conditions and activity limitations of a chronic nature, situations of special complexity and/or multipathology with special attention to case management and home care.
- Actions to implement models of integrated demand management, optimization of processes and improvement of coordination between levels of care, social and health care and social care.
- Development of the regional strategies of Community Health.
- Development of actions that promote patient participation and empowerment in their care process.
- Acquisition of diagnostic, therapeutic and non-clinical equipment.
- Development of digital tools and computerization.
- Adaptation of the infrastructures of health centres/clinics/points of continuous care/radiology rooms/physiotherapy/emergencies.
- Acquisition of digital tools and licensing of programs related to the improvement of the capacity of Primary Care resolution, optimization of administrative procedures, coordination with other levels of assistance, improvement of management or implementation of models of comprehensive demand management.
The total proposal of 172,425,000 euros, 334,165 euros to Melilla, is distributed as follows:
- From the budget application 26.07.313 B.456, a credit of 85,301,000 euros, of which 165,316 euros are for Melilla.
- From the budget application 26.07.313 B.750, a credit of 87,124,000 euros, being 168,849 euros for Melilla.
After this authorization, within the Interterritorial Council of the SNS (CISNS), the resulting distribution between the autonomous communities and the INGESA (for the cities of Ceuta and Melilla) will be approved.
