The Provincial Directorate of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) has called for public subsidies within the Program of labor inclusion of people with disabilities in the protected market for the year 2024 in the City of Melilla.
The aim of this programme is to promote the creation and maintenance of jobs in special employment centres (CEE) which would have been qualified as such under the legally established terms, under direct concession. People with disabilities will be recipients of the program.
As explained by the Provincial Director of the SEPE, Jorge Vera, it consists of four subsidy lines: 1) fixed investment linked to the creation of indefinite employment in the protected labour market; 2) the wage cost of persons with disabilities working in special employment centres; 3) by adaptation to the job; 4) by the personal and social adjustment services provided by the Vocational Support Units of the special employment centres.
Employment centres may be eligible for these grants when they have their own legal personality and are registered as such in the Registry of the Public Service of State Employment in Melilla, or the entities holding such centres, provided that the number of disabled workers in the special employment centre is equal to or greater than 70% of the total workforce.
The Provincial Director has stated that the deadline for submitting applications varies depending on the grant requested. In the case of applications for the fixed investment subsidy, they must be submitted within a period of one month from the conclusion of the indefinite contract or the conversion of the temporary one to indefinite. The request for the subsidy of the salary cost of persons with disabilities who work in special employment centres must be submitted within one month from the payment, in the voluntary term, of the Social Security contributions for the relevant month.
On the other hand, the application for the grant of the adaptation of the job will be submitted within one month of the payment arising from the expenses caused as a result of such adaptation. Finally, the subsidy for the personal and social adjustment services provided by the Support Units must be submitted within one month of the payment, on a voluntary basis, of the Social Security Contributions for the corresponding month.
In addition, Vera has indicated that applications will be submitted within one month of the date on which the causative event that determines the type of subsidy occurs.
