The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the Director and the Deputy Director of the Penitentiary Center, Francisco Rebollo and Alejandro García, respectively, has welcomed the seven trainees who will develop, accompanied by the staff of the center, functions in different departments of the Penitentiary Center of Melilla during the next 18 months.
This Friday, the Government Delegation hosted this welcoming ceremony of these 4 men and 3 women who have come from different parts of Andalusia and who, after overcoming the selective process, will carry out their training in our city.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has highlighted the important work carried out by penitentiary institutions in their constitutional work of the social reintegration of prisoners, so she has pointed out that the work done by women and men in these centers is complex.
“Unlike in other areas, prison officials do a very important but often little-known job. We are aware of the task you are doing to reintegrate prisoners and that you are a key part of our society,” said Moh.
The head of the Government Delegation, who congratulated them on overcoming a difficult selective process, encouraged them to continue working with the same enthusiasm as before and to welcome the internship period with the same enthusiasm.
“You have overcome a hard selective process and now is the time to put all that knowledge into practice and, as experience is a degree, you are going to have the great professionals that are in the center that are going to accompany you at all times, in which to support you,” he said.
But, in addition, Moh has explained to them that Melilla is a very nice and friendly city, so he has urged them to enjoy it and feel part of it. “I am convinced that you are going to be an example of dedication, dedication, professionalism and that vocation of public service that we have in the civil service, but it is also important that you are at ease on a personal level, so I encourage you to know and enjoy the city,” she asked.
