The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, accompanied by the Superior Chief of Police, José Antonio Togores, and the Secretary General of the Headquarters, Isidoro González, has welcomed the 41 agents of the National Police who over the next 10 months are going to do the practices in our city.
These are 12 women and 29 men from the XXXIX Promotion of the Basic Scale of the National Police Force who will serve in our city and who will enhance citizen security and complement services at the border, in addition to rotating for the different services.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has valued the important work carried out by the agents of the National Police Force and the fact that both the commanders and all the staff that provides service in the Headquarters of Melilla is composed of great professionals, so she has pointed out that Melilla is going to be a perfect territory to put into practice all the knowledge they have acquired and, “you are going to learn a lot”, she assured them.
The head of the Government Delegation has valued the interculturality of Melilla, something that enriches the city. Unfortunately, he pointed out, hate speeches are increasing, so he has stressed the important role that the State Security Forces play in eradicating confrontations and these hate messages.
At this point, he has emphasized the coordination and collaboration that exists between the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Local Police. “In our city there is a coordinated work, something that you will be able to observe at this stage, which is vital,” he said.
The Delegate stressed that, although Melilla, unfortunately, often opens the newscasts negative things, “it is a wonderful city, with spectacular corners, with lots of light and great gastronomy”, so she has been convinced that, in addition to learning a lot, they will enjoy this enclave.
Sabrina Moh has stressed the important role played by the women and men of the Police. “You guarantee the security of the citizens so that we can all enjoy our rights and our freedom,” he said. In his speech, he pointed out his conviction that the new agents in practice are going to do a magnificent job, from empathy with the citizens.
For this reason, she has recalled that this is one of the institutions best valued by the citizens and has been convinced that the police eggs in practices are going to fit very well in our city and with the citizens.
The Superior Chief of Police, for his part, has told them that they must be proud to belong to a great institution such as the National Police Force and that they must take advantage of this period to train and learn from the experience of veterans.
In addition, he stressed that this period should serve to “learn to decide.” “A good cop makes decisions when he has to make them,” he said. Although he has made it clear that they will have all the support and experience of the veterans and the entire Leadership of Melilla.
Togores has ratified that Melilla is a magnificent city to train and continue learning and has advanced that this period in Melilla “surely makes you better policemen”. But he has also assured them that their stay in the city will serve them to know one of the most beautiful cities in the country and to enjoy the full range of leisure and culture available.
