94.95% of Melilla students who have taken the Baccalaureate Assessment Tests for University Access (PEBAU) have passed them, as reported by the Provincial Director of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD), Juan Ángel Berbel.
“The number of students who have registered for the test has been 461, which means 33 more people than in the regular call of the previous course. Of these, 416 have taken the test, having passed 395, compared to 21 who have not reached that goal,” he reported.
This year’s pass rate is 2.5 points higher than last year’s pass rate (92.52%), being the best ratings achieved in the last 20 years, Berbel said.
As she has explained, the best grade in this ordinary call has corresponded to a student of the IES Miguel Fernández, being the 2nd and 3rd best grade to two students of the IES Juan Antonio Fernández.
In this call it should be highlighted that all the students presented by three educational centers -IES Virgen de la Victoria, CC Nuestra Señora del Buen Consejo and Escuela de Artes- have reached 100% in the percentage of approved.
The Provincial Directorate of the MEFPyD of Melilla has congratulated all the agents of the educational establishment, involved in these tests for the support –families–, in the preparation -teaching teams– and academic effort –students– for the consolidation of the time invested in the form of results obtained, which seen the percentage of approvals has been consolidated as the best qualification in the last twenty years, “thanks to the effort and enthusiasm of the students who have always been attended and advised by their teachers and supported animally by their families”.
“Congratulations to those who have passed the test and encouragement for those who have to face the extraordinary in a few weeks,” said Berbel, who stressed that “the effort always finds reward.” The extraordinary call will be from July 2 to 4.
To the student who has obtained the highest access grade, the City will award it, through the Ministry of Education, with 3,000 euros, while the highest grades of each educational center will be recognized with a prize of 1,200 euros, and the second best qualification will be awarded with 800 euros.
