The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has celebrated that the direct bonus of 50% of the quotas to the Social Security in the contracts of Melilla goes hand in hand with the bet that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez is making of the stable and quality work.
Thus, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city referred to the approval, by the Council of Ministers yesterday, of a Royal Decree-Law with a battery of measures that improve unemployment protection in which the direct bonus of 50% to the Social Security quotas of Melilla and Ceuta was included.
“The previous model is improved because, as we have said on many occasions, the government that presides over Pedro Sánchez is making a firm commitment to stable and quality employment,” he said.
In this regard, Moh has stressed that the direct bonus is going to be applied to workers with indefinite contracts, “because, as I say, this government’s bet is for stable jobs and that they give security to workers.”
It will also apply to people who are hired to supplement a worker who is in replacement of temporary disability. “Obviously, when, due to a loss of one of its workers, the entrepreneur has to hire a worker to keep his economic activity ahead, it must be equally rewarded,” he said.
PP, no excuses
The head of the Government Delegation referred to the fact that the Royal Decree-Law is going to have to be ratified in the Lower House. “Now comes the time for the PP to move from words to deeds and they have to show that they really care about the economy of the city and the entrepreneurs of Melilla and it is not a pose to get a partisan return,” he said.
Therefore, it has been asked what the popular deputy for Melilla is going to do in Congress and the rest of the Parliamentary Group of the PP when the time comes to validate the Royal Decree in Congress.
“Anything other than voting in favour of it is going against the direct bonus to employers’ social security contributions and against supporting stable employment in our city,” he made clear. “The government of Pedro Sánchez has taken the step. Now the PP has no excuse not to support this measure,” he concluded.
