The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has indicated that the Executive of the Nation is working to make the direct 50% bonus to the Social Security quotas for entrepreneurs of Melilla a reality “as soon as possible”.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city, to questions from media professionals, has insisted that the objective of the Executive is to implement the 50% direct bonus system “as soon as possible” through a regulatory tool.
The head of the Government Delegation recalled that, after the approval and implementation of Royal Decrees 1/2023 and 660/2023, its impact was evaluated and the claims of the business sector were heard and “they were improving in all those aspects that they requested.”
As a result of this dialogue and these requests, modifications and adaptations have already materialized. At this point, the Government will return to the formula according to which the bonus was made directly instead of via subsidy.
Not only that, the government will also meet the demand made by the business sector for the bonus to be applied to workers who replace those who are on leave, that is, with a temporary disability (IT).
“Both issues were transferred to the Government,” recalled Moh, “and we were already working to be able, within one of the important measures of the Integral Plan, to continue maintaining these tax benefits to make Melilla a more attractive city, a mechanism through regulations to return to the previous system.”
“All the other demands and all the other requests of the business sector have already been resolved favourably, these two issues are now on the table and are being worked on,” he said and said that, “as soon as you have that formula, that tool, it will be launched.”
