The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has reiterated the commitment of the Executive who Presides Pedro Sánchez and of the institution of which she is the holder in favor of a more inclusive, fair, diverse and egalitarian society and to continue conquering and consolidating rights of the Trans* collective.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has made statements to the media after reading the manifesto that has been received by the Delegation of the Government on the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day of Trans Visibility*, and that has been in charge of the President of Chrysallis-Melilla, Fidel Fernández, and his daughter, Marina.
Moh recalled that a few weeks ago, the Delegation, together with the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports (MEFPyD) and the educational centers of Melilla, addressed the updating of the Trans Protocol*, which saw the light of day a few years ago and which is adapting to the new regulations that have entered into force.
Not only that, the Delegation has convened different meetings with the management teams of Early Childhood and Primary Education centers such as Secondary Education institutes to gather different perceptions and proposals from them.
“Right now we are in the process of adapting, modifying that protocol and then being able to submit it to the MEFPyD for approval and, above all, its implementation and provision to all educational centers to have an essential tool for that accompaniment for Trans* people,” he explained.
Moh, who recalled that the Delegation welcomes every year the reading of a manifesto on the occasion of this event, has highlighted the presence of the representatives of entities and institutions that have come to the institutional headquarters, among them different Territorial Directors, Area Directors of the Delegation, representatives of the Civil Guard, National Police and Local Police, members of management teams of educational centers of the city, deputies of the Assembly of Melilla, leaders of trade unions, leaders of Chrysallis, Amlega, Melilla Welcomes… to those who have thanked them for their presence and their support to the Trans Collective*.
The Delegate also thanked the media professionals for their fundamental role in raising awareness in society and for their pedagogical work in unanimously rejecting messages of hatred towards this group.
