The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has shown her appreciation for the work, work and professionalism of the State Security Forces and Bodies, the Head of Civil Protection of the Delegation of Government, the Maritime Station, the Local Police and all the people involved in which this Operation Crossing the Strait (OPE) could be carried out without incident.
The highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has referred to the small decrease compared to last year’s edition -556 vehicles and 11,714 passengers less than 2022 - but which, however, has been “intense” and which has meant the transit of more than 76,800 vehicles and 324,000 passengers through our city, as well as more rotations of ships than last year.
Moh has announced that at the beginning of October a valuation meeting will take place with all the actors involved to take stock of OPE 2023 and to start preparing for OPE 2024.
“Every year we meet to make an assessment, to see the things that need to continue improving and those that have improved, to continue implementing them,” he said.
