Government Delegate Sabrina Moh has dismantled all of Vox’s accusations about the Employment Plans. “They speak from total ignorance,” he told Televisión Melilla.
In fact, the highest representative of the Government, has encouraged this party to go to the police station and denounce the irregularities of which they speak. “They talk about a crime and the crimes are reported in the police station, so I encourage this training to go to police stations to file a complaint,” he said.
Moh has stressed that the Delegation’s Employment Plans have been characterized these 4 years by transparency and has recalled that, as every year, before the beginning of the same, all the occupation codes of the professions to be hired as well as the number of places have been published.
He also recalled that common criteria are established for everyone, including the long-term unemployed, which, as he explained, refers to people who are unemployed for a minimum of 360 days in the last 18 months.
However, when, in certain occupations, there is no long-term unemployed person “either because they are already working, or because we are lucky not to find people with as many days as job seekers, we resort to the second criterion, that is, people who, without being long-term unemployed, have spent more days as unemployed non-employed”, he explained.
Therefore, he has stressed that this criterion is always met: first, long-term unemployed are selected and, if they do not exist, people who have the highest number of days as unemployed are used. “The other option, in case there is no long-term unemployed person, would be not to call anyone to work and return the money, and that is not the goal,” he said.
Furthermore, he recalled that the objective of the Employment Plans is to be able to optimize all the resources that arrive and to hire as many people as possible with the departure of 11 million euros that are destined for it.
With regard to the other accusation made by Vox, that a person who is already occupied may appear on a list of the Employment Plan, Moh explained that, when the Government Delegation sends a job offer to the SEPE, requesting any type of profile, a first poll is made and provisional lists appear. However, the appropriate checks are then made and, finally, the definitive list comes out.
Even so, from the Government Delegation itself, afterwards, it is verified person by person that meets all the criteria. At this point, he has indicated that a person may appear in a provisional list, but does not imply that he or she must then be hired, since for such contract to materialize the person must be unemployed from the time of publication of the list until the date of hiring.
“Once the SEPE survey arrives at the Delegation and it is verified that a person who has been listed does not meet any requirement, then he is automatically excluded from the Employment Plan,” he reported.
The Government Delegate, in turn, recalled that Vox is not only questioning the work done by the Government Delegation in terms of transparency and objectivity, but also the work done since the General Intervention of the State, given that this body is responsible for monitoring each and every contract, and corroborating that each and every one of the persons hired meets the published requirements.
