In Melilla, the Tax Agency has received a total of 7,845 applications for aid of 200 euros to mitigate the effects of the price increase on the most vulnerable, as reported by the Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh.
As he recalled, the beneficiaries of this measure, whose application deadline ended on March 31, are workers, self-employed and unemployed with incomes of less than 27,000 euros in 2022.
“The aid of 200 euros is part of the package of measures approved by the Government to mitigate the impact of inflation on the social majority of the country, which has already mobilized 35 billion euros,” he said.
As Moh recalled, on December 27, the Council of Ministers approved new initiatives to respond to the consequences that the war in Ukraine is having on the Spanish economy and protect all citizens, especially the most vulnerable.
Among those measures is the extraordinary payment of 200 euros intended to support the incomes of middle-class families in a context of inflation. “This aid, which will reach 4.2 million households, will reduce situations of economic vulnerability that are not covered by other social benefits,” he said.
