The Delegate of the Government, Sabrina Moh, has reported that the reopening of commercial customs in Melilla and Ceuta will be simultaneous and for the same products.
After the publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on the entry of fish into the sister city, the highest representative of the Government of Spain in our city has called for tranquility among the Melillense citizens.
“The fact that the Ceuta facilities are prepared for the shipment of products of animal origin does not mean that fish will enter the city of Ceuta and will not enter the city of Melilla,” he said.
In fact, he has announced that this issue is already being addressed and work is being done so that Melilla also has “an optimal installation, which meets all European standards and allows us to bring fish to our city”.
As the Delegate explained, the reopening of commercial customs in both cities will be carried out in a “gradual, orderly and above all simultaneous manner in both cities”.
In this regard, it has advanced that work is being done to produce a first commercial expedition in the coming days. A first expedition that will serve, among other things, to check the functioning of both commercial customs and to work, in a coordinated and progressive way, to increase the frequency of products that are going to transit through both cities”
