The Government Delegation against Gender Violence works for a society free of violence against women (understood as partner abuse, in accordance with article 1 of LO1/2004 of 28 December on Comprehensive Protection Measures against Gender Violence) as well as other forms of violence against women, such as trafficking in women and girls for the purpose of sexual exploitation or female genital mutilation.

The Coordination Unit against Violence Against Women of the Government Delegation in the Community of Madrid has prepared the following chronological guide of several campaigns carried out from 2006 to 2022 in order to raise awareness, raise awareness and prevent violence against women.
