A total of 11,942 training talks were given during the 2025/26 school year, within the framework of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Safety in Educational Centers and their Environments. In addition, another 2,934 complementary performances were carried out, such as exhibitions, concerts, collaborations in school events and meetings with management or teaching teams.
The data were released yesterday at the follow-up meeting of the Master Plan held at the Government Delegation in Madrid. The meeting was chaired by the subdelegate of the Government in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and has counted representatives of the National Police, Civil Guard, Municipal Police of Madrid and the Unit of Coexistence and against Bullying of the Community of Madrid.
In the latter year, the Master Plan reached 1,365 educational centres spread over 147 localities in the region, an increase of 35 centres over the previous year.
By topic, “Internet and ICT” was once again the most requested topic with a total of 4,546 sessions (38.1%). Then there were the “Bullying” with 2,624 talks (22.0%); the “Gender Violence” with 1,298 (10.9%); the “Addictions” with 1,160 (9.7%) and the “Violent Groups” with 783 (6.6%). Then, in the ranking, other content related to hate speeches, Access to police or sexual crime prevention bodies, along with the “The Secret Club experienced a significant growth in demand during the last two courses.
Regarding the distribution by educational stages, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) concentrated the largest volume of activity with 5,704 talks given (47.8%), which represented an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous course. For its part, Primary Education added 5,009 sessions (41.9% of the total) experiencing a slight decline of 1.6% compared to the 2024/2025 academic year.
In post-compulsory educational stages, 782 talks were registered (6.5% of the total), 65% of which were at the level of Vocational Training; and 35% in Baccalaureate. Finally, 165 sessions were given (1.4% of the total) aimed at the rest of the educational community. Although the majority addressed families, it also highlighted the implementation of specific initiatives for teachers, such as the 11 courses organized in collaboration with the Community of Madrid in the Territorial Centers of Innovation and Teacher Training.
Improving security in schools and their environments
The Government Delegation in Madrid, through the High Inspection Area of Education, coordinates the Master Plan for coexistence and improvement of safety in educational centers and their environments. The training sessions are given directly by the State Security Forces and Corps: the National Police (through Citizen Participation areas of each police station) and the Civil Guard in their respective demarcations. In addition, the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Delegation itself and the Municipal Police of Madrid collaborate in the area of Madrid city.
The National Police concentrated most of the lectures given during the course with 7,131 sessions (59.7%) followed by the Civil Guard who gave 3,932 lectures (32.9%). The Plan also involves the Municipal Police and the Government Delegation ' s Unit for Coordination against Violence against Women.
The Government Delegation has already reactivated the Master Plan for the 2026/2027 academic year. Those educational centers of the Community of Madrid that wish to participate in their activities can process their application in a telematic way. To date, 887 applications have already been received.
