Transportes continues with the acoustic insulation of the AP-6 in Collado Villalba, Alpedrete and Guadarrama for one million euros

Affectations from 9 to 19 December in the Community of Madrid

  • From 9 to 19 December, except weekends and public holidays, the part of the incorporation branch from the M-601 to the AP-6 corresponding to the section between km 39.9 and 40.1, of the AP-6, will be cut.
  • In addition, between December 15 and 19, from 8h to 19h, the C/ will be cut. Rincon de las Eras in the section located in the lower passage under the AP-6 diverting traffic through the C/. the Almiar. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
  • Planning may be altered in the event of adverse weather conditions.
  • The works are included in the Recovery Plan, and The noise protection levels of neighbouring homes and schools will be improved in this section.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is implementing the works to develop the actions of the Action Plan against Noise in the AP-6 between km 39,558 and 42, as it passes through the municipalities of Collado Villalba, Alpedrete and Guadarrama, in the Community of Madrid. The works have a budget of 1,039 million euros (VAT included) and are financed by NextGenerationEU funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This will improve the noise protection levels of homes and schools adjacent to the motorway in this section.

In this context, work is being done on the installation of 4 meters high acoustic screens in the part of the incorporation branch from the M-601 towards the AP-6 itself with direction A Coruña (right driveway), corresponding to the stretch between km 39.9 and 40.1 of the AP-6. Specifically, the foundations of the new acoustic screen section are being executed and work has already begun on the installation of the screen profiles and modules. During the next two weeks, the adaptation of the containment systems of this section will be carried out.

In order to execute these works, the full cut of said stretch according to the following planning:

  • Phase 1: From Tuesday, December 9th at 8:00 am, until Friday, December 12th at 13:00 am. The works will be carried out in the final section of the branch (closest to A Coruña)
  • Phase 2: From Monday, December 15 at 8:00 am, until Friday, December 19 at 13:00 am. The works will be carried out in the initial section.

There will be no disruption to traffic on weekends or on public holidays.

An alternative itinerary will be enabled that will involve taking the A-6 direction Madrid and making the change of direction at the link of km 36 (Galapagar/ La Navata).

During the phase 2, the works will coincide with the renovation of the pretil of the motorway on the lower pass of the C/ Rincón de las Eras which, according to the evolution of the works, will require its cut predictably between 8:00 and 19:00 hours, the traffic being diverted by the C/ el Almiar. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

The planning of the work may be altered in case of adverse weather conditions.
