The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held today a meeting with the president of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Juan Miguel Hernández, to reaffirm the commitment of the Government of Spain with the financing of this outstanding cultural institution of the city of Madrid.
A commitment that translates into an increase in the economic contribution made annually by the Ministry of Culture to the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid in 2026 to reach 300,000 euros per year, 50,000 euros more than in 2025. In this way, it seeks to alleviate the gradual decrease in funding from the Community of Madrid and, with it, ensure the continuity of its regular activity.
Because, as Francisco Martín explained, the Círculo de Bellas Artes “represents the best Madrid, that of creativity, the avant-garde and the culture of truth, not that of the mere showcase” and with the defense of it is with which the Government of Spain is committed.
