The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, today attended the presentation of the project of work of the future station Soto Sur de Cerca de Madrid that will have an investment of about 70 million euros.
The performance was presented by the Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, José Antonio Santano, and the president of Adif, Luis Pedro Marco, in the old station of Soto del Real, with the presence of the mayor of the town, Noelia Barrado Olivares.
The investment includes the extension of the C-4B line of Neighbourhoods from Colmenar Viejo to Soto del Real, currently under construction, as well as the construction of a new station, allowing access to this railway service to this and other populations of the northern area.
The delegate stressed that “this investment of almost 70 million euros in the extension of the C-4B line and also in the construction of the new station in Soto del Real is a very important service in favor of sustainable mobility and in favor of the quality of life of the neighbors of the entire region of the north of the Community of Madrid. The residents of Soto del Real, Manzanares, Guadalix, Miraflores and del Boalo, all of them will undoubtedly benefit from this important investment of the Government of Spain.”
