The activity has been carried out simultaneously and has brought together from 10:00 a.m. neighbours from the municipalities of Alcorcón, Casarrubuelos, Ciempozuelos, Corpa, Coslada, El Vellón, Estremera, Fuenlabrada, Fuentidueña de Tajo, Getafe, Guadalix de la Sierra, Los Santos de la Humosa, Lozoyuela Navas-Sieteiglesias, Amelia del Campo, Navalcarnero, Guadalix de la Torrobla
A shared experience that has been extended throughout the morning in a festive and participatory atmosphere to express through painting the transformation experienced by our country during the last five decades. In this way, the participants have been able to design their own ‘avatar’ and capture it through a technique of template and spray guided by an artistic coordinator. For its realization, the municipalities have ceded spaces in different locations that will allow its conservation and subsequent exhibition; in addition, to organize other parallel activities.
Democratic values, coexistence and freedom
The government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the subdelegate, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, have actively participated in the initiative during a tour that has led them to visit the murals made in Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Parla, Ciempozuelos, Torrejón de la Calzada, Madrid, Torremocha del Jarama and Guadalix de la Sierra.
In the words of the delegate “they are murals that claim with joy everything achieved in these 50 years” so he regretted that it is thirty and not the 179 municipalities of the Community of Madrid that have joined this initiative “those responsible for the municipalities that have not wanted to participate will have to explain to their neighbors why they do not want to celebrate these 50 years of freedom”
