- At the national level, and discounting the effect of the calendar, the number of foreign workers stands at 3,067,780, after adding 20,691 in the last month.
Social Security has registered an increase of 4,370 foreign affiliates in the Community of Madrid, according to data published today by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, corresponding to the end of September. This represents an increase of almost 0.8% compared to the data of the previous month.
There is an increase in both the number of EU members (+2414) and the number of non-EU members (+1956).
Good national figures
In the country as a whole, one more month, the number of workers from other countries exceeds three million, after adding more than 200,000 workers in the last twelve months (202,694), which represents a +7.07% year-on-year variation.
In the original series, average affiliation, the number of workers from other countries is 3,088,341, which means a growth of +7.1% year-on-year, almost five points above the total affiliation, which has experienced an increase of +2.4% in the last year.
“Employment grows above average among foreigners due to their age structure, and it does so especially in the autonomous communities where it is most needed, which is excellent news,” said Minister Elma Saiz.
On the other hand, women already represent 43.2% of the total number of foreign workers, with 1,333,863 foreign affiliates to the system.
