Los Molinos is preparing for the celebration of its Patron Saint Festivities with the planning and coordination of the corresponding security and emergency operation. This has been one of the topics dealt with at the Local Security Board held today in the town hall, in which the general security situation of the municipality has also been assessed.
The meeting was co-chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor Antonio Coello Gómez-Rey. Members of the Government team and representatives of the Community of Madrid, the Local Police and the Civil Guard have also attended.
The attendees have reviewed the Security and Emergency Plan planned for the Patron Saint’s Festival in honor of the Most Holy Christ of Good Death that, this year, will take place from September 6 to 14. Among other measures, the police presence will be increased, especially during the weekend nights, with a reinforcement of 7 additional Local Police officers on Friday and Saturday.
The Civil Guard troops will also be strengthened with the participation of the Los Molinos post, which will be joined by other patrols in the Company’s area. The presence will be especially noticeable during the traditional bullfighting celebrations of the municipality, with novilladas and burials from Wednesday to Sunday.
As for the Civil Protection media, during the holidays there will be active service from Saturday 6 to Sunday 14 September from 11:00 to 01:00 hours on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends.
Positive balance of security in the municipality
The session also analyzed the latest crime data, with a positive balance on the state of public security in the municipality.
The government subdelegate has described the data as “very good”, stressing that “last year there was a decrease in crime and so far this year, an additional reduction of 13% has been achieved”. In this regard, he has highlighted the increase in police effectiveness with 42% of clarified facts, as well as the close collaboration between the different Security Forces and Corps.
