The subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, has co-chaired, together with the mayor of the municipality, Yolanda Cuenca Redondo, the Local Security Board with the aim of reviewing the security of the patron saint’s parties that include a varied cultural, sports and traditional program that every year brings together neighbors and visitors, supposing a notable increase in the local population.
Representatives of the City Council, the Local Police, the Civil Guard, Civil Protection and the Community of Madrid have attended to prepare the security device for the patron saint’s festivities that will be held from August 13 to 20 in honor of the Virgen del Castillo. The meeting served to finalize the security device that will be deployed during the celebrations, with the aim of ensuring its development in an environment of tranquility, prevention and citizen protection.
Coordination between administrations and security forces has been strengthened to ensure an effective response to any eventuality. Among the measures envisaged is the strengthening of access control at points of high influx through security elements such as bollards, as well as specific actions in the field of civil protection, such as the conditioning and refreshing of areas where activities with pyrotechnic material are planned. There will also be a special reinforcement provided by the operational core of the Civil Guard.
The subdelegate of the Government has stressed the importance of joint work between administrations and security bodies so that this type of celebration can develop normally, guaranteeing both citizen security and the enjoyment of all attendees.
