The government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the mayor of Pozuelo de Alarcón, Paloma Tejero, have co-chaired today the Local Security Board of the municipality, in which they have analyzed the special devices that will be deployed during their patron saint’s parties in July and September.
During the meeting, the resources of the National Police, Local Police and Civil Protection have been coordinated to ensure the normal development of the celebrations in a locality that evolves “positively” in terms of security until it is among those that record the best data in the region.
Francisco Martín has valued the joint and coordinated work of the Security Forces and Corps, the Consistory and the whole of the citizenry from which these data result and has advocated to remain on the path of collaboration to “continue moving forward” in this direction.
The patronal festivities in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (July 16-20) and Our Lady of Consolation (September 5-14) will once again gather thousands of people in the streets, with an extensive program of concerts, burials, parades, religious celebrations, fair and activities for all audiences. As every year, great neighborhood participation and a festive atmosphere are expected that requires special coordination of security and emergency services.
