After the murder was confirmed in Getafe, the government delegate sent letters to the mayors of the Community of Madrid, as well as an open letter to the citizens in which he encouraged them to call or join different minutes of silence to send a clear message condemning gender violence from the whole of society. Martín has also re-emphasized the role of institutions in this fight and the importance of doing everything to protect these women, referring to the need for municipalities, which have not yet done so, to take the step and adhere to the VioGen system of protection of women victims of Gender Violence.
