- From next Thursday, June 26, traffic will be cut off the road with direction Madrid between the km 44,100 and 45,500 diverting the traffic on the opposite road.
- The impact of this first phase of the works will last about 6 months.
- The works have a budget of 11 million euros in charge of the European funds NextGenerationEU of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility will begin work to condition and adapt to the transit of pedestrians and cyclists the A-1A motorway as it passes through El Molar and Pedrezuela, in the Community of Madrid.
The work has a current budget of 10.994 million euros (VAT included), and will focus on the construction of a central boulevard and a bike lane along the roads of the A-1A motorway, as well as the rearrangement of the accesses of the entire stretch, between km 40,800 and 45,500.
In this context, and to ensure the safety of workers and users during the first phase of the works, various effects will occur:
- From 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, June 19, there may be slight affectations due to the start of the previous work.
- From Thursday, June 26 at 08:00 h, there will be the cut of the Madrid road of the A-1A motorway between km 44,100 and 45,500, with the following detours and alternative itineraries duly signposted:
- The Burgos road of the A-1A motorway will be maintained in service, enabling one lane of the same for the Burgos-Madrid direction, and maintaining in the other lane the usual Madrid-Burgos direction.
- For drivers on the A-1A motorway from Burgos who wish to access Pedrezuela at the height of km 45,500, the alternative route will be available on the local road that starts from the M-627 race, heading to Pedrezuela.
The impact of this first phase of works is expected to last about 6 months.
During this first phase of the works, the glorietas located in the km 44,200, 45,000 and 45,440 will be built. In addition, the sidewalks and the 4.6 km bike lane will be executed and the structure of the km 44,160 will be demolished.
