- The works will consist of milling and replacement of the firm in several sections of this track. They will be carried out at night in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic
- Rail cuts will be made alternately on the trunk and service roads as the work progresses. Affectations are expected to last about 3 months
- The works have a budget of 9.89 million euros
- The action is included within the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry of Transport has invested more than 697 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Madrid
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is executing the repair works of the firm on the roads A-1, N-320, A-3, A-42, A-6, M-40, M-11, M-12, M-13, M-14, M-21, M-23, M-110, A-5R and Ciudad Universitaria, in the province of Madrid. The current total budget of these actions is 9.89 million euros (VAT included) and are part of the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which the Ministry of Transport has invested more than 697 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Madrid.
Specifically, from Monday, June 9, the firm repair actions began between kilometers 19 and 39 of the A-6 motorway, for which a budget of 1.63 million euros (VAT included) is allocated. This stretch, which runs mainly between the municipalities of Las Rozas, Torrelodones and Collado Villalba, has 4-lane roadways and 2-lane service routes.
The works will involve, in most cases, the cutting of the two right lanes on the trunk of the motorway and alternative cuts on the service roads.
The hours of affectation to the traffic will generally be in night time:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: from 22:00 to 06:00 hours
- Friday to Saturday night: from 00:00 to 07:30 hours
Traffic disruptions are expected to last about 3 months, based on performance and availability of equipment.
Punctually, it will be possible to produce cuts in the exits or entrances that connect the trunk and the service track, and even total cuts with deviation between roadways of the same direction during the morning.
As a complementary action to these works, the waterproofing of the structure located at km 33 (link of La Berzosa) is foreseen. To do this, this structure will be cut off between Tuesday 8 and Friday 11 July, diverting the direction Madrid through the link of km 36, where a provisional detour will be enabled.
For the duration of the work, maximum caution and attention is requested to the signage of works, together with strict compliance with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), visible on its luminous signs of variable signage.
Detailed information on the traffic situation on the affected roads can be obtained in a timely manner, both in the radio bulletins and on the DGT website.
Planning may be altered in the event of adverse weather conditions.
