- They have been able to know aspects related to the functions and tasks of the Government Delegation, in addition to the historical value of its headquarters
About thirty law students from the University of New Mexico, who are in Spain doing the summer campus “Madrid Summer Law Institute 2025”, in collaboration with the Rey Juan Carlos University, have been able to know what are the main tasks and competences of the Government Delegation in Madrid.
It was during their visit to their headquarters, in which they were received by the Government’s deputy delegate, Pilar Trinidad, who guided them through a tour of the main rooms of the former Borghetto Palace, erected in the second decade of the last century as a nobiliary residence and from which part of the original decoration is preserved.
Then, they attended a round of presentations in which they intervened, in addition to the Government’s own subdelegate: the Secretary General, Pablo Izquierdo; the head of the Education Area, Ángel Canales; and the Civil Administration technician, Carlos Martínez.
The objective was to offer them an overview of the Spanish territorial organization and where the Government’s delegations and subdelegations are located within that structure, in addition to the competences that the law reserves to its holders.
