More than 150 Local Police officers from localities throughout the region who are integrated or in the process of joining the VioGén system of monitoring and comprehensive protection for victims of gender violence will participate in the training sessions on this tool that began today, May 28, in the Government Delegation, and which will be completed with a second session on May 30.
Both the delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, and the subdelegate, Pilar Trinidad, wanted to thank them for their assistance. The delegate highlighted “the important role that agents play in the fight against gender violence and in the care of victims, so training and constant updating in protocols and improvements applied is key”.
They have also been greeted by the Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, who has come to the headquarters of the Government Delegation to participate in the minute of silence called as a sign of condemnation and rejection for the murder of a woman in the province of Cáceres for alleged gender violence, and they have joined it along with the rest of the workers of the Delegation.
Theoretical-practical days
Organized by the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women and taught by agents of both the National Police and the Civil Guard, these days will allow agents to learn about the new functionalities and improvements that the updated version VioGén 2 has, and teach them how to handle it.
The training is directed preferably to members of the Local Police Corps of the Community of Madrid integrated, or in the process of joining VioGén; as well as those who, by their fate, have or may have direct contact with victims of crimes of this nature.
In this line, two face-to-face sessions based on a theoretical-practical methodology have been organized. The first, held today, 28 May, was attended by local police from the National Police demarcation and was given by officials attached to the Senior Police Headquarters.
