- The deputy delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, has held a previous meeting with the mayor, José Luis Adell, and then co-chaired the Local Security Board of the municipality together with the second deputy mayor, Juan Luis Juárez.
- Navalcarnero has renewed its protocol of coordination with the Civil Guard within the framework of the VioGén system to adapt to the new procedures of risk assessment and monitoring of active cases
The municipality of Navalcarnero has improved its security data during the first months of 2025, compared to the same period of 2024, according to the local Security Board of the municipality that was held this Friday, under the co-presidency of the subdelegate of the Government in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, and the second deputy mayor, Juan Luis Juárez.
This has been the case thanks to the decrease in the total number of criminal offences accompanied by an increase in the rates of police effectiveness. All this has allowed, in March 2025, the crime rate to be at 40.45 points, below that of 2024, and very far from the average of the Community of Madrid, which was 57.1 points.
Before the start of the Board, the deputy delegate held a meeting with the mayor, José Luis Adell, who was unable to attend the session for reasons of agenda. During the meeting, both have commented on the positive data on security and the upcoming celebration of the festivities of San Isidro.
Precisely the analysis of the security device designed for the patronal parties has been one of the topics addressed later in the Local Security Board, which has been attended by representatives of the Civil Guard, the Local Police, Civil Protection and the Community of Madrid. The planned operation seeks to ensure the safe and orderly development of festive events.
During the first day, on May 14, security will be concentrated around the prairie area and in the access areas of vehicles such as cars and buses, and on May 15 a surveillance drone will be added to the device.
Renovation in the VioGen system
The Board has also signed the renewal of the coordination protocol between the City of Navalcarnero and the Civil Guard within the framework of the VioGén system, in which the municipality has been fully incorporated since the beginning of this year.
This update, in line with the new Instruction 1/2025 of the Secretary of State for Security, adapts the procedures of risk assessment and monitoring of active cases, thus strengthening the institutional response to gender violence and improving the protection of victims. Among the innovations introduced, the category of “unappreciated” risk is eliminated, considering that any denunciation implies a potential danger, and the interconnection between different databases is improved to optimize the collection of information and response to cases of gender violence.
In total, 46 municipalities are now fully integrated into the VioGén system: Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aldea del Fresno, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Boadilla del Monte, Brunete, Collado-Villalba, Collado Medio, Colmenar Viejo, Ciempozuelos, Daganzo de Arriba, Fuenlabrada, Guadalix de la Sierra, Las Rozas de Madrid, Leganés, Madrid, Majadahonda, Manzanares el Real, Torres del Campo
