The delegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, has co-chaired, together with the mayor of Torrejón de la Calzada, David Blázquez Baos, the Local Security Board of the municipality in which it has proceeded to adhere to the “Protocol of collaboration and coordination between the State Security Forces and the Local Police Corps for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence” signed by the Ministry of the Interior and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), on March 13, 2006.
The government delegate wanted to recognize the step taken by the government team with this signature and also to thank the Civil Guard for their “generosity and commitment” to promote access for municipalities that have sufficient local police to join the VioGén system of comprehensive protection for victims of gender violence throughout the region.
She also highlighted the work of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation, whose head, Eva Corrales, attended the meeting together with representatives of the City Council, the Civil Guard, the Local Police and the Community of Madrid, in the accompaniment and guidance offered to municipalities in this process.
Along with Torrejón de la Calzada, in recent months, municipalities such as Navas del Rey, Casarrubuelos, Coslada, Pedrezuela, San Martín de la Vega, Cubas de la Sagra or Serranillos del Valle have also begun or promoted the procedures for their incorporation into the VioGén system.
In total, there are already 46 fully integrated municipalities: Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aldea del Fresno, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Boadilla del Monte, Brunete, Collado-Villalba, Collado Medio, Colmenar Viejo, Ciempozuelos, Daganzo de Arriba, Fuenlabrada, Guadalix de la Sierra, Las Rozas de Madrid, Leganés, Madrid, Majadahonda, Manzanares el Real, Torres del Campo
This means that, of the total number of municipalities in the Community of Madrid with an endowment of more than 10 Local Police officers, there is still about thirty to begin the procedures, something that Francisco Martín wants to reverse in his time at the head of the Government Delegation.

The meeting also finalized the Security Plan for the festivities of the Most Holy Christ of Amparo, which will be held from May 16 to 18.
The objective of this plan is to guarantee security in all the festive spaces and, for this, the Civil Guard of the Post of Valdemoro will contribute almost all its potential and will also have the reinforcement of the PRECO, the UCESIC and a cynological unit.
In this regard, Francisco Martín wanted to thank both the Civil Guard and the Local Police and the government team for this effort, not only in view of these dates but throughout the year, as shown by the “extraordinarily good” crime data recorded by Torrejón de la Calzada, “30 points below the average for the Community of Madrid.
Thus, the crime rate stood in the first quarter of 2025 at 28.81 points, a very low rate despite the slight increase (+ 0.29%).
