The subdelegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, attended today the Assembly of the Cañada Real Galiana, held at the Center of Education and Resources for Adult People (CERPA) of Rivas-Vaciamadrid.
This meeting, in which public administrations, political groups, social entities and neighborhood associations participate, has addressed key issues for the improvement of the situation in the area, with special attention to the implementation of the Roadmap 2024-2028 of the Regional Pact for the Galiana Royal Canyon.
This was the first Assembly held following the publication of the resolution of the European Committee of Social Rights on the situation in the Cañada Real, which marked a good part of the debate. During the session, the consensual response of the administrations has been analyzed and the pending advances and challenges in urban planning, rehousing, social inclusion and security have been reviewed.
In this context, neighborhood representatives and political groups have requested the creation of a specific table on electricity supply, with the aim of addressing this problem in more detail. The commissioners have taken note of the petition and stressed the need to continue working on solutions to improve the conditions of residents within the framework of the Regional Pact.
The Assembly of the Cañada Real Galiana is the main participatory body in which public administrations, social entities, political groups and neighborhood associations work together. It meets quarterly and has Sectoral Tables specialized in social, security and urbanism.
