The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, has co-chaired today together with the mayor of the Collado Medio, María de la Sierra, the Local Security Board in which the municipality has signed the documents for the entry of its Local Police into the VioGén system for monitoring and integral protection of victims of gender violence.
This has materialized through the signing of the accession to the 'Protocol of Collaboration and Coordination between the State Security Forces and the Local Police Forces for the protection of victims of domestic and gender violence' of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, and the "Operational Procedure of Coordination and Collaboration between the Command of the Civil Guard of Madrid and the City of Collado Medio, of integral response against gender violence". The police coordination table has also been set up.
Francisco Martín wanted to highlight the “very important step” that Collado Medio takes with this firm and to thank the City Council for the commitment shown in the fight against gender violence.
The Board has been attended, in addition to representatives of the municipal corporation: the head of the Command of the Civil Guard of Madrid, Colonel Fernando Mora, and members of the Corps; members of the Municipal Police of Collado Medio: the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation, Eva Corrales, and a representative of the Community of Madrid.
Incorporation of all local police in the region into the VioGén system
The government delegate has reiterated his call to all the consistories of the Community of Madrid with local police to be integrated into the VioGén system.
In recent weeks, in addition to Collado Medio, other municipalities have also initiated or promoted the procedures for its incorporation into the VioGén system, such as: Casrrubuelos, Coslada, Ciempozuelos, Improvement of the Countryside, Aldea del Fresno, Moraleja de Enmedio, Navalcarnero, San Martín de la Vega, Cubas de la Sagra, Serranillos del Valle or San Fernando de Henares.
Currently, there are already 42 fully integrated municipalities: Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aldea del Fresno, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Boadilla del Monte, Brunete, Collado-Villalba, Colmenar Viejo, Ciempozuelos Daganzo de Arriba, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Guadalix de la Sierra, Las Rozas de Madrid, Leganés, Madrid, Majadahonda, Manzanares el Real, Villanequera, Moralzarzal, Moines
