The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, visited today Robledo de Chavela to discuss with the mayor of the town, Fernando Casado, with the deputy mayor, María José Quijada, and his Government team, issues of interest in relation to coordination between the City Council and the Government Delegation.
A visit that the mayor has thanked as a sign of the “fluid relationship” that must exist between the local and the state administration, something that, in the opinion of the government delegate, is the “attitude of collaboration and coordination that allows to move forward, understand and seek solutions to the problems of citizens.”
During the meeting, topics of interest for the security and socio-economic development of the town were discussed. Among them, the crime data of the municipality that show a positive balance in 2024 have been reviewed, since the rate is 20 points below the average of the Community of Madrid.
Regarding transport, the mayor has transferred to him the requests of the neighbors related to the Neighbourhoods network, a factor that they also consider decisive in promoting the development of the locality.
For his part, Francisco Martín has insisted on the importance of his Local Police joining the VioGén system of comprehensive protection of victims of gender violence and thus advancing the objective of achieving that all municipalities in the region that have their own police are within this system, a process that the City Council is going to start from next week.
